We are a group of women who sew for the NICU. Preemies may or may not survive the birth process and we make a packet of things for either outcome. Our main focus, however is Lovie. A flannel rag doll that the mother smothers with her scent and then it is given to the baby for comfort. We also make things for the needs of the unit requested by the nurses. Most of us have been affected by a preemie in one way or another so our things are threaded with love.
